Possibly the best use of a P & S Digi Camera... EVER!

Brian Benham's music video was prefaced with a sentence explaining that he used a ["Point & Shoot"] digital camera to record it. I was a bit skeptical after reading that but being a fan of Brian's music I pressed the play button anyway. 15 seconds into the video and any thoughts of what kind of equipment was used totally escaped my mind... An extremely creative integration of editing, photography and of course MUSIC.

Nope...

Been busy though....

Glowing flowers,,,

Weak title huh? Haven't been feeling too artistic in a literary sense lately so I'll keep it simple and just stick to posting photos for now.

One more networking tool...

I've known of Model Mayhem for some time but never really had any decent work to get a profile established with. Now that I've got a few 'model' oriented shoots under my belt I figured I could get a little more exposure on MM. Its a place where photographers, models, make-up artists and more can all network and find work.

Sunset Cityscape....

As promised, another photo from my short trip to Papago park.

Downtown Phoenix soaking up the last bit of sun.

Lingering Sunlight...

Just moments before daylight died the tired sun showered my palette with a warm, soothing light, brining extra character to an overly photographed subject.

More tomorrow.

Pale Gradient....

Another sunset photo?... kinda makes me wonder if I should rename my blog to something more fitting like One Sunset A Day....?!

This image got a little love in Photoshop ... mainly the filmstrip effect but I also desaturated it a bit and adjusted the levels slightly. I was pleased with the end result, the color range gives the photo a different feel but not too over the top.

(old) Hot Air ....

This picture is from about 3 years ago(so disregard the date in the corner! oops..), taken while we floated the skies just north of Phoenix.

One way to get rid of money...

The ipod Touch... What a device! There's something to be said for a product that is ultra thin, has multi-touch screen, accelerometer, 32gb and surfs the internet, Google maps with location, Plays Movies, Tv shows, and music! Not to mention the 3rd party and "web" apps available for it. You can also download directly from the iTunes store which can come in handy.

SLOWEVO....

Most vanity license plates say something to the effect of SCRMOM or GOASU but in the case of this red Mitsubishi it describes exactly what the car is NOT - Slow.

Full write-up tomorrow.....

Another STi Photo....

Because I don't feel like posting anything else and just can't get enough of this Subaru...

A STrong STallion...

A forecast of rain troubled me as the day wore on but by 4 o'clock it looked like the clouds would be less than productive... good for me as my camera equipment and moisture don't exactly get along and I was due to shoot a couple AWD sleds before sun down...

The STi!! ... nothing short of amazing!.. of course I'm bias towards any car with Time Attack Volk's but the wheels aren't the only thing this Subaru has going for it. The low stance presents some trouble around speed bumps but it provides for an extra aggressive look, often avoided among the AWD crowd. Tein and cusco are to blame for the suspension setup and a carbon fiber rear diffuser helps manage the air flow at the back-end of the car. Defí gauges illuminate the interior and keep the driver informed with vital information while comfortably strapped into Sparco harnesses and a corresponding harness bar...(more mods than I can list).. One of my favorite subies yet, a bit challenging to photograph but its a true testement to good taste and doing things right.

Keep an eye out for more photos and one SlowEvo...

I'm still here...

Clouds resembling colorful brush strokes immediately grabbed my attention as I made my way home today... I spotted a clearing, pulled my car over and snapped a few photos. A slight orange glow on the underside of the distant clouds made this scene worth remembering in a photographic sense and reminded me just how different the setting sun looks each evening.

I dont think I'll ever get tired of taking pictures of sunsets, now if I could just get myself out of bed in time to get a sunrise photo I'd be set.

A day at the Zoo...

Spent a good part of today at the Phoenix Zoo for Mattix's first Zoo adventure! It was fun to see not only the animals but to watch how excited and intrigued Mattix was for some of the wildlife. Beautiful weather and family made the trip more than worth while.

-Tre, who is going to the Sun's Game tomorrow ! Woot!

How I see it....

My essentials and what I spend a lot of time staring at... in no particular order: DualG5 tower, 17" MacBookPro, 23" Cinema Display, Wacom tablet, external hard drives, harmon kardin speakers, canon printer and a crown & coke....

BeeM-DoubleYou!

After spending most of my day designing a website I'm not feeling too motivated to take a new photo or write anything intriguing here.... instead here's a photo of a red BMW M3 I took a few weeks ago.

A cold beer and comfortable couch are awaiting my attention... see you all tomorrow...

Distant Colors....

The sun was eager to set today but in the few moments I had I was able to snap a photo during its departure. Avoiding the surrounding power lines, trees, buildings, and street lights proved to be somewhat of a challenge but I manged to get a mostly un-cluttered picture of another beautiful Arizona sunset. Straight from the camera:

A man and his machine....

The story behind obtaining this CBR is enough to make any person think twice before dealing with people over the internet but a shady seller wasn't enough to keep Charles down. After months of dealing with an uncooperative seller and loads of paperwork the bike that was sent to him without a title or keys was finally his, and the whole ordeal was quickly put behind him as a twist of the throttle was enough to make any worries disappear. What started out as a hobby quickly turned into a passion and Charles soon found himself on the racetrack every chance he had. A handful of small upgrades, a couple sets of plastics and a few repairs were needed along the way but nothing that couldn't be handled by the bikes proud new owner.

This machine is more than just aluminum and fiberglass... it is a personal therapist that runs on gas and water.

THE STi.

Clayton's STi is breath of fresh air in a scene thats become overly-saturated with "cookie cutter" Subarus. Tasteful modifications and fresh styling cues make this subie something to be appreciated.

Instead of writing more nonsense here I'm gunna get back to processing some photos... more to come!
